Duties of Position: Provide laboratory and clinical instruction and evaluate student performance in the associate degree dental hygiene program.
Candidates will need to be available to attend at least two annual department meetings and must be willing to actively participate in program hosted and/or other recommended professional development activities/courses to maintain compliance with the Commission on Dental Accreditation’s requirements for faculty to maintain current background in educational theory, methodologies and concepts related to teaching assignments, as well as required continuing education for licensure maintenance).
Educational Requirements: AAS in Dental Hygiene. Preferred Bachelor’s degree in health care related discipline
Experience Requirements: Minimum of three years of clinical dental hygiene practice within the last seven years.
Current Illinois dental hygiene license
Current BLS/CPR certification
Experience or familiarity with electronic patient record software
Experience with routine administration of local anesthesia (field and nerve blocks)
