The Office of Enrollment Management Communications at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, (UTK) invites applications and nominations for our Coordinator Operations Communications position. We are seeking candidates who can contribute in meaningful ways to the diversity and intercultural goals of the University.

The Division

The Enrollment Management (EM) division comprises more than 170 full-time staff who serve our students through the following departments and functions: Undergraduate Admissions, International Recruitment, Transfer Center, One Stop Student Services, Financial Aid and Scholarships, University Registrar, EM Communications, and Research & Analytics. The Office of Enrollment Management is committed to our Vision, Mission and Values. The Position

This is an on-campus position with some hybrid/remote work schedule flexibilty. 

The Operations Communication Coordinator will develop and implement solutions for project and messaging needs and goals by organizing and proactively leading communication campaign development and management with Assistant Director and division leaders within the offices of Financial Aid & Scholarships, Center for Financial Wellness, Bursar, Registrar, and One Stop. They will assess current needs, create a plan based on those needs, and execute integrated strategies. The Operations Communication Coordinators will contribute with new ideas regarding messaging, channels, and how to positively impact students and other targeted groups.



Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree- Communications, Marketing, or related.

• 2 years of professional experience related to duties and responsibilities.

• Background in communications or related creative experience.
 

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Experience working with multiple priorities, fast moving projects, and tight deadlines.

• Basic understanding and ability to work with html coding and editing.

• Experience with print and digital communication.

• Experience with Slate or other CRM systems, Banner, Asana project management system.

• Moderate to high skill in html coding and editing.
 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must have excellent writing, grammar, proofreading, and creative skills

• Possess strong self-discipline and motivation

• Knowledge and understanding of MAC operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Creative Suite

• Knowledge of html coding and editing

• Ability to lead and manage projects

• Must demonstrate problem-solving, strategic thinking, critical thinking, and time prioritization skills

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple work responsibilities in time-sensitive situations

• Ability to exercise good judgment and handle diverse and difficult situations with confidence, motivation, and flexibility

• Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at various levels and a variety of backgrounds

• Possess and demonstrate a personal commitment to excellence and efficiency, and a passion to serve future and current Volunteers of all ages and backgrounds

 

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of Slate and other CRM systems

• Asana project management or similar platform experience

• Understanding of higher education priorities, processes, and workflow

• WordPress experience

• Knowledge and experience with social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Tik Tok, etc.
