* Responsibilities The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide circulation and other access services to AU faculty, staff, students, and community users including:
- Utilizing the integrated library system (ILS) to charge, discharge, and renew library materials with accuracy and efficiency; edit/create patron records; add barcodes to resources/patrons; and other ILS functions.
- Handle JagCard sales with complete accuracy for fines, fees, charges, and special library cards.
- Provide accurate basic reference assistance at the Information Desk and logging results in RefAnalytics.
- Maintain order in the stacks:
- Shelve material according to call numbers without any errors.
- Retrieve and re-shelve and loose library materials daily.
- Shelf read for accuracy in assigned stack area as needed.
- Shift materials as required.
- Perform weekend and evening responsibilities:
- Work all shifts as needed to include on weekends.
- Provide guidance to student assistants and/ part-time workers and effectively maintain control of Access Services.
- Assist Public Safety in a professional and timely fashion in the event of theft, and responsibly deal with emergency situations in the event that the Administrative Office is closed.
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure provision of efficient library services and programming.
