Job Details
The Academic Field Work Coordinator is responsible for the program's compliance with the fieldwork requirements of Standards Section C.1.0 in adherence of ACOTE. To provide leadership, management, planning and coordination in the Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Responsible for teaching OTA curriculum, assessing program learning outcomes and student learning outcomes, recruiting, enrolling, advising and retaining students. Support the academic mission of the OTA program, the Division of Health Science, and the college as a whole.
Minimum and Additional RequirementsFaculty teaching associate degree courses not designed for transfer to the baccalaureate degree: minimum of a bachelor's degree, and two full-time years as a practicing COTA with experience as a clinical instructor or fieldwork educator. Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in South Carolina as a COTA. Degree must be awarded by an institution that is accredited by a USDE- recognized regional or national accrediting body.
