The communications strategist will be based in the Office of Communications and work collaboratively with units across campus focusing on the humanities and social sciences.  The strategist will work closely with staff housed in those areas to develop strategies that reach their key audiences with messages and stories that raise their visibility and reinforce Princeton's reputation for excellence in research and teaching.

This is a six-month temporary assignment.

  • Overseeing print and electronic production and dissemination of newsletters and other publications;
  • Coordinating with the Office of Communications, Office of the Dean for Research and others to share ideas and content with broader communications potential.

Other responsibilities may include promoting events, taking compelling photos and videos, executing successful e-mail marketing efforts, and applying basic design principles within commonly used web publishing environments.

The communications strategist must function as an effective liaison among department/center staff, faculty members, students and others to develop steady streams of compelling content that can appear online, in print, or both. The strategist will help take the communications efforts of individual departments and centers to higher levels, while also serving as a bridge to central University communications to help surface important stories that Princeton may promote via its core channels.

Qualifications
