This position is for the Federal SPF-PFS Coordinator. This person is responsible for coordination of community-driven efforts to advance substance abuse prevention specifically focused on underage drinking to meet the goals and objectives of the Strategic Prevention Framework-Partnerships for Success (SPF-PFS) Project. Will directly supervise the School of Social Work Prevention Practicum students



Job Location
Required Education: Bachelor's degree, AND: 

  • 48 months in accounting, business, program management, or related experience.
Equivalent/Substitution: Will accept 48 months of experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree to equal 96 months of related experience.

Skills:

  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines
  • Able to effectively evaluate projects/programs and produce comprehensive reports
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office. Advanced Excel skills with ability to build and manipulate spreadsheets
  • Must be able to read and interpret policy as well as State and Federal regulations
  • Strong communication skills
Certifications:

  • Certified Prevention Specialist license within 18 months of employment
Advertised Physical Requirements:

  • Sits for prolonged periods. Communicate effectively. Manual dexterity.
  • Standard office environment.
Departmental Preferences:

  • Master's degree in Social Work with two years experience to supervise students in practicum 
  • Ability to serve as the Field Instructor for the Social Work Prevention Practicum program
  • 18-36 months experience in public health, social work or social services
  • Experience working with community coalitions 
  • Knowledge of substance use prevention principles and frameworks
