Position Summary

The Dean, K12 Partnerships will engage in strategic planning and promote creative ideas that enable Educational
Partnerships and Dual Credit offices and school district partners to be more productive, efficient and continuously improve the success and credential completion of dual credit, Early College High School and P-TECH students. Responsible for the campus management of Dual Credit staff, enrollment, and student support activities in collaboration with Academic Success and Student Success administrators, faculty, and staff.

strategies to achieve educational goals/objectives and maintain high standards.

regional school district partners.
• Academically and experientially qualified to accomplish the goals of Educational Partnerships to achieve
expected program outcomes; demonstrated distinguished record of leadership and accomplishments at a
college or university level.
• Complies with local and regional educational regulations and accreditation requirements.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective communication with school district and high school administrators,
faculty, and students as well as other academic and student services personnel and external community
stakeholders.
• Experience in shared governance with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills, and
commitments to cultural diversity and inclusion.
• Demonstrated understanding of the educational, cultural, and social needs of a diverse student population.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing dual credit, ECHS, P-TECH and T-STEM pathways
and programs.
• Demonstrated ability to keep up to date on latest trends within the academic community.
• Strong work ethic and self-starter with ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments.
• Experience in operational planning, policy development, and outcome/needs assessment.
• Demonstrated commitment to student success.
• Must have excellent presentation, written and oral communication skills to be able to interact with a diverse,
multi-cultural Dallas College community network.
• Demonstrated experience and commitment to customer service with continuous focus on improvement.


Physical Requirements

Minimum Knowledge and Experience

• Requires a Master’s degree in related field plus three (3) to five (5) years of experience in higher education
• Three (3) years of experience with Dual Credit and Early College High Schools.
• Official transcripts required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provides leadership at the campus level for the expansion and improvement of the Dual Credit program, Early College High Schools (ECHSs), Pathways to Technology (P-TECHs) ECHS’s and T-STEM programs in coordination with the Dallas College Educational Partnership leadership.
• Develops and implements strategies that can be replicated across all Dallas College campuses, resulting in increased Dual Credit student participation and contact hours as well as an increase in the successful completion of certificates, degrees and improved preparation for employment or transfer to a university.
• Serves as the administrator for the campus Dual Credit Office(s), collaborating with Dallas College administrators, faculty, and staff as well as administrators from Independent School Districts and Charter Schools.
• Manages campus staffing, logistics, and project management.
• Provides training and engagement activities for campus staff, faculty and administrators on dual credit processes and student support strategies.
• Ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and guidelines established by Dallas College, Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, and the Texas Education Agency regarding dual credit and the Blueprints for ECHSs and P-TECHs.
• Resolves problems related to the implementation and expansion of these programs by gathering facts and other related resources.
• In collaboration with Information Technology and Educational Partnerships, researches and develops technology solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness of procedures.
• Builds positive and collaborative working relationships with staff, faculty, and administrators at all Dallas College locations, as well as with personnel from the ISD’s, Charter and Private Schools and community agencies.
• Evaluates academic programs and processes, analyzing the current and future needs of the students and community and recommends changes to enhance existing programs.
• Follows protocol for decision-making using resources and tools provided.
• Performs other duties as required
