General Description
Under the direction of the Provost and in cooperation with the Dean, Student Services, the Center Student Services Specialist will perform a variety of student services by providing enrollment, academic, and career information to pre-college and college students.
The individual in this position will be responsible for providing information to students, prospective students and the public thus the incumbent must be knowledgeable of all academics programs in the respective Center as well as all areas of student services and student support services to include, but not limited to:
- Admissions & Records Services
- Counseling Center
- Outreach
- Financial Aid Services
- Student Success
- Student Financial Services
- Student Activity & Affairs
- Veteran's Services
- Health Center
- Testing Services
- Career/Transfer Services
- Access and Ability Services
- EOP&S/CARE Services
- Cashiering
- Bookstore
- Health Center
- LRC and Tutorial Services
This position is assigned to the COS Hanford Campus. The working hours are 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., Monday-Friday. Initial placement is at $55,723.

Organization
College of the Sequoias is a two-year California community college offering educational and enrichment programs for the residents of its district in Tulare and Kings counties. The college was established in 1925 and moved to its current 62-acre main campus site in Visalia in 1940.
In addition to the campus in Visalia, COS operates a full-service center in Hanford that is also home to the college's police and fire academies.
COS also opened its Tulare College Center in January 2013. It is a full-service college center and the home of COS' agriculture program
