An invitation to apply for the position of:

Vice President of Enrollment Management and

Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid

Babson College

Wellesley, MA

Babson College seeks a seasoned, strategic, and ambitious leader to serve as its next Vice President of Enrollment Management and Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid (VPEM). Reporting directly to Babson’s President, Stephen Spinelli Jr., and serving on his cabinet and executive leadership team, the incoming VPEM will lead a talented team of admission and financial aid professionals charged with recruiting, assessing, financing, and enrolling the next generation of Babson undergraduate and graduate students.

Serving as the College’s chief enrollment officer, the incoming VPEM will be responsible for defining and leading a comprehensive, coordinated strategy, including student outreach, enrollment, retention, and student success. They will join Babson at a moment of both demonstrated success and continued innovation, building upon a strong foundation to drive further enrollment momentum. This individual must be energized by change, innovation, and creative approaches, with a natural inclination toward taking calculated risks and testing out new and big ideas.

Babson, a global leader in entrepreneurship education, is a private institution offering undergraduate and graduate degrees in management, as well as executive education programs ranked among the best in the world. It is distinguished at both the undergraduate and graduate level for its integration of theory and practice. Babson enrolls over 2,600 full-time undergraduate and 1,100 graduate students, with 190 full-time faculty serving all Babson programs. Its annual operating budget is $200 million, and its endowment stands at $720 million.

Working in partnership with senior administrators, faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community partners, the incoming VPEM will provide leadership in undergraduate and graduate admission, financial aid, and student success efforts across campus. The VPEM will lead the everyday work of enrollment management and be a key strategic contributor to the president’s council. They must ably and nimbly navigate both, bringing critical analysis, creativity, and agility in planning for the future, while also balancing the needs and priorities of enrollment and contributing to the College’s mission and strategic goals.

In particular, the VPEM will help the College execute a progressive and data-informed strategic plan that is both assessable and amendable; responsibly steward financial aid; drive innovative branding and communications campaigns in a digital marketplace; and mentor emerging professionals in the field. The incoming VPEM will be a national thought leader in the field of enrollment, a powerful proponent of liberal education, and deeply dedicated to building a diverse and energetic campus community.
