Job Description:


The Program Director of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS), under the direction of the Dean of Nurse Education and Health Professions will be responsible for all aspects of the development and direction of academic and clinical learning experiences of students within the DMS program.


  • Teach didactic and clinical courses in the Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) Program
  • Evaluate student performance in the classroom and clinical setting
  • Develop instructional materials consistent with course objectives
  • Be responsible for the structure and daily operation of the DMS Program within CAAHEP accreditation standards
  • Maintain current knowledge of sonographic techniques and educational methodology through continuing professional development
  • Schedule regular site visits to clinical sites
  • Maintain current program records for CAAHEP accreditation
  • Assume leadership role in the continued development of the program
  • Comply with all duties as stipulated in the Massachusetts Community College Council Collective Bargaining Agreement.


Requirements:


  • Current RDMS certification
  • Bachelor's Degree required, Master's in Health Science Education or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two years full-time clinical experience in DMS
  • Minimum of two years experience as an instructor in a DMS
  • Proven ability to work with a diverse student population

Preferred Qualification:


  • Teaching experience


Additional Information:


Salary Range: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 Actual Salary Will Be Commensurate With Education & Experience in Accordance with MCCC/MTA Collective Bargaining Agreement. Full state Benefits.

Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) is a multi-campus urban institution, its main campus situated in the historic Charlestown neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. A second campus is located in nearby Chelsea, Massachusetts; five satellites are located in the local communities of Cambridge, Chinatown, Revere, Somerville and Boston’s South End.
