Hollins University, an NCAA Division III institution and member of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC), invites applications for the full-time position of Director of Athletic Training Services beginning August 1, 2022. This position is a full-time, ten-month (August – May), administrator appointment reporting to the Director of Athletics. About the Role

Duties include all aspects of the athletic training program involving eight NCAA sports and the IHSA riding program. This includes, but is not limited to, the day-to-day functions of the athletic training room, attendance at practices and games, record-keeping (including secondary insurance), assisting with equipment management, and providing injury prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation for student-athletes.

Position Qualifications

Successful applicants must have a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred) in athletic training, physical education, or related field; previous athletic training experience (preferably at the collegiate level); National Athletic Trainers’ Association certification; Virginia athletic training license or eligibility; and CPR and first aid certifications. Candidates must exhibit excellent leadership, role-modeling, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; have demonstrated success working with diverse populations; and possess Microsoft Office proficiency. Applicants must also have knowledge of and ability to work within the framework of ODAC policies and NATA and NCAA rules and regulations; ability to work well with students, families, and campus constituencies and to work independently and as part of a team; and a valid United States driver’s license with minimal violations. Candidates must also be able and willing to work evenings and weekends.
