Job Summary

The Student Food Service Worker is responsible for performing routine tasks related to the food service area such as prepare fresh food items, cashiering, and stocking. Performs customer service functions, such as greeting customers, operating cash registers, which includes completing cash and credit transactions, keeping kitchen and dining room area clean and neat. Position may at times be required to work with various kitchen equipment, empty trash cans, fill condiment dispensers, vacuum, and other duties as assigned.

Student works under direct supervision exercising moderate independent judgment. May be selected to work at one of our Dining Halls, Catering, or Retail locations.

Required Qualifications
  • Must be a current UWG student enrolled for at least six credit hours and maintaining at least a 2.0 grade-point average.
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills.
  • Be able to work 20 hours a week.
  • May need to complete additional cashier training within the first 30 days of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous Food Service Experience.
  • Ability to work well with others.
