The Division of General Internal Medicine, Department of Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (APP) interested in a career as a clinician, practicing and teaching general internal medicine in a patient-centered medical home.

The APP will provide primary care for patients at a University of Colorado Hospital Internal Medicine Clinic for the following appointment types: new, continuity, hospital/ED follow-up, acute, and annual/wellness exams. The APP will provide care for their empaneled patients as well as acute care for teammate’s patients as needed.  Faculty share responsibilities for night, week-end, and vacation coverage with other members of the group practice. There may be opportunities to serve as a preceptor for APP students.

The APP will have opportunity for academic promotion judged on criteria of demonstrated excellence as a clinician/educator/scholar. APPs are encouraged to collaborate with other faculty in clinical research projects.

Faculty Rank is dependent upon years of experience and demonstrated accomplishments.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range for this full-time position has been established at $98,093 to $117,936.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

     NP or PA degree
Preferred Qualifications

    Experience in a primary care setting.Current State of Colorado License by the employment start date.Current DEA by employment start date.
