Department of Psychiatry has an opening for a full-time University Staff (unclassified) Consultation Liaison & HIV Psychiatrist (Open Rank) position.

Nature of Work:

The Department of Psychiatry Adult Division Psychiatrist will provide clinical coverage of services at the University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora, CO within the Infectious Disease Group Practice (IDGP) HIV Clinic as a psychiatrist as well as on the inpatient consultation-liaison (CL) psychiatry service. The outpatient HIV position will be a combination of in-person and telework, including tele-consultations and involves supervising a resident psychiatrist on an elective rotation within the Infectious Disease Group Practice (IDGP) clinic. The inpatient consultation-liaison (CL) position involves in-person work providing psychiatric consultation and management for patients currently admitted to the University of Colorado Hospital on the Anschutz Medical Campus and may involve supervision of psychiatry, nurse practitioner, psychology and social work trainees.

Duties and Responsibilities:

    Perform psychiatric consultations/evaluations in an integrated care and inpatient medical settingsProvides telepsychiatry assessments in an integrated care settingProvide outpatient evaluations and treatments in an integrated care settingParticipate in performance improvement activities; quality improvement and patient safety activities; assists in maintaining compliance with JCAHO accreditation and other internal and external regulatory standards including the code of conduct.Actively contributes to academic advancement of his/her/their disciplineMaintains eligibility for SOM faculty appointmentHelp with trainee education in both clinical and didactic settingsParticipate in the attending call rotation

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at:

Instructor: $205,000 to $220,000.

Senior Instructor: $205,000 to $220,000.

Assistant Professor:  $205,000 to $220,000.

Associate Professor:  $220,000 to $245,000.

Professor:  $250,000 to $300,000.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Instructor:

    1-3 years of clinical experience at rank or equivalent experience. MD and/or DO CO Physician License or Eligible for CO Physician LicenseBoard Eligible or Certified in Psychiatry
Senior Instructor:

Preferred Qualifications (applicable to all ranks):
