The Department of Otolaryngology at Southern Illinois University (SIU) School of Medicine is seeking a fellowship trained Neurotologist to join our growing faculty as an Assistant Professor. The Department currently consists of seven full-time physicians, four advanced practitioners, six audiologists and a speech language pathologist. We are a fully accredited residency training program accepting two residents per year. We are currently pursuing opportunities for clinical growth and for strategic expansion within central and southern Illinois. Research opportunities are available and strongly encouraged. In addition to traditional opportunities for research, SIU has excellent support for investigating disparities in care through collaboration with the Department of Population Science and Policy.

Job Duties: 
I.    Administration:
A.    Assist in the administrative function of the Department of Otolaryngology working with the chair to develop systems of supervision and evaluation of residents and medical students.
II.    Teaching
A.    Provide a role model as a teacher in Otolaryngology
B.    Assist with methods for students, residents in Otolaryngology, and other residents rotating through Otolaryngology.
C.    Develop and implement programs in Otolaryngology for national distribution
D.    Supervise research by medical students, residents in Otolaryngology
III.    Research
A.    Participate in research in medical education related to Otolaryngology.
IV.    Service: Demonstrate, by actions, commitment to the mission and the behavioral standards of SIU School of Medicine. Provide excellent service to both internal and external customers through collaboration and partnership; compassion and respect; integrity and accountability; diversity and inclusion; as well as continuous learning and improvement.
Minimum Job Requirements: 
I.    Successful completion of Fellowship Program in Otology / Neurotology
II.    Illinois MD License
III.    Board-certified or Board-eligible in Otolaryngology Surgery
