Description:

Reporting to the Associate Dean for Administration, this role is a position of delegated responsibility for providing leadership to achieve excellence in teaching, scholarly activities, and clinical activities of the nursing programs. This position reports directly to the Dean of the School of Nursing and Physician Assistant Studies.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Oversees the administrative and faculty activities of the School of Nursing and Physician Assistant Studies
• Serves as the college's business and operational liaison; handle financial affairs including budgetary management and planning, disbursement of funds, maintain payroll and other financial records
• Oversees the School’s procurement and supply chain programs
• Facilitates new and renewal contracts required for all business operations of the school; monitor invoicing and payments on contracts
• Manages all personnel matters as they relate to administrative staff such as timekeeping, personnel files, employee relation issues, faculty appointments and onboarding, etc.
• Provides leadership in maintaining and administering School of Nursing and Physician Assistant Studies’ academic standards, national NP and PA education requirements and regulatory policies
• Plans and coordinates new student orientations and white coat ceremonies
• Leads the curriculum support team, providing aid to faculty and administration in executing courses
• Plans for curriculum development and content integration across all courses within the program with the Dean, Associate Deans, the faculty, and the appropriate faculty committees
• Prepares various project reports for program and college leadership, and external parties by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
• Facilitates the Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) for students of the Hofstra Northwell School of Nursing and Physician Assistant Studies
• Maintains NP and PA program compliance with the NYS Department of Education accreditation standards
• Coordinates activities with the Dean to achieve the education and community service missions of the school, as well as developing, establishing, and evaluating the Nursing and Physician Assistant programs
• Assists the Dean in preparing and monitoring the budget and responding to fiscal inquiries. Oversee all business operations of the School


  Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Education, Business, Hospital/Healthcare Administration or related field, required.
• Minimum of five (5) years progressively responsible management experience in a related field, required
• Excellent communication, organizational, teaching, leadership and time management skills
• Outstanding computer skills are a must and include proficiency in Blackboard, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
