Administrative Associate Student Success (GYO), Academic Affairs and Student Success (PART-TIME TEMPORARY POSITION)

The purpose of this administrative support position is to temporarily assist the system and campuses in advancing the Grow Your Own (GYO) Teacher Apprenticeship initiative until an executive director can be hired. The individual in this position will manage the GYO communications and email, help draft and review program documents, assist program staff in collecting documents/information from various sources, provide administrative support in terms of coordinating and scheduling project meetings, take minutes/notes in meetings, send communications on behalf of UT Educator Preparation Programs (EPPs) to school districts and other partners, generate or post content for social media sites in collaboration with UT Communications, and carry out other duties as assigned.

Duties include:

Administrative support (e.g., scheduling meetings, managing calendars, assisting with meeting agendas, responding to GYO email account)

Communications (e.g., drafting or reviewing content for website, social media, and other communication; drafting meeting materials, etc.) Manage the GYO internal Teams site (uploading documents, adding users, managing chat box, etc.)

Other duties as assigned (because the position and project are both new, we anticipate needing support in other areas, such as reaching out to vendors, reviewing and collecting data from websites, preparing directory information, etc.)

Required:

Education:
Associate's Degree

Experience:
Must have at least one year experience in a professional setting or office

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Candidate must be skilled in professional communication (free from errors, professional tone) with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Candidate must have advanced proficiency at cloud collaboration and other related tools, (e.g., Zoom, Teams, SharePoint, Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), Argos, IRIS, WordPress, Canvas, Banner, Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Acrobat Pro DE,
  • Requires some knowledge of the UT System and its campuses.
  • Candidate must be highly organized and able to manage multiple project components simultaneously.

Bachelor's Degree

Experience:
Experience in K-12 or higher education preferred. 7 or more years' work experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of UT EPPs preferred.
