Annual Giving Engagement Program Director

Description
Reporting to the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Development, as an Annual Giving Engagement Program Director, you will be responsible for working with alumni and donors to build relationships to increase philanthropic engagement in support of university initiatives. The efforts of Annual Giving are central to supporting UCCS and the community we serve with a sustainable and predictable source of annual funding, while also enhancing the major and principal gift pipelines. This position will partner with campus and system advancement divisions.  The role oversees and drives the strategy for a multi-channel, donor-centric communications program, including direct mail, telephone constituency engagement, E-mail, crowdfunding and other digital strategies. Oversees a high-volume portfolio of annual, low-mid level donors and prospects.

YOU WILL:

    Raise support for the institution while following the Donor Bill of Rights to achieve established goals.Achieve and exceed annual metrics to include but not limited to growth in overall annual giving, number of first-time donors, donors increasing gift level with focus on moving donors into high three-figure and low four-figure gifts, consecutive-year giving and referrals that expand the donor pipeline.  Provide leadership directly and indirectly to annual giving and development team members to further achievement of division/department fundraising goals and metrics.Partner with division, schools, colleges and units to determine annual giving opportunities and build strategic and tactical plans for implementation.Create innovative processes to further the goal of improving annual giving retention inclusive of internet, social media and mobile applications; direct mail and phone.In partnership with Development, assign and manage the Pipeline Program to maintain and build upon the portfolios of gift officers
Conceptualize, cultivate and execute philanthropic engagement strategies in order to expand and deepen the donor relationship and giving life cycle:Research the newest technologies and techniques in constituency outreach and design test segments to develop solicitation best practices.Utilize data and analytics to drive solicitation and communications strategies for further engagement and giving.Focus on effective communication and solicitation activities within specific market segments identified as having potential for the greatest giving growth.Work in concert with Development Office, alumni and donor relations personnel and CU System Advancement to effectively execute current stewardship activities.Identify and refer alumni and donors to campus engagement opportunities as appropriate. Collaborate with campus partners to implement plans. Provide comprehensive leadership of the Annual Giving team (2-4 FTEs), which includes supporting the day-to-day functionality of the team, as well as leading the teams recruitment, hiring, training, mentoring, evaluating, and professional development activities.Development and implementation of metrics data gathering, organization, and delivery to management, maximizing CU system data resources. Oversee a continuously evolving annual giving portfolio to achieve annual fundraising metric goals.Work with prospect research and system annual giving manager to develop strategies to identify, prioritize and strategically segment alumni into donor prospects to achieve campus philanthropic and alumni engagement goals.  

YOU HAVE:

    Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Experience:  Minimum of 4-6 years’ experience in fundraisingMinimum of 2-3 years’ experience in raising annual gifts for in a complex business setting.
 

YOUR WORKPLACE:

    You will have the option to work partially remote or fully on campus, as determined by your supervisor. Temporary or permanent on-campus workspace will be allocated based on your work schedule. You will generally be expected to work Monday through Friday 8 AM-5 PM MT. However, you may coordinate a flexible or alternate work schedule through your supervisor.
 

YOUR PAY:

    The anticipated hiring range for you: $ 57,870 - $91,461. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training. This salary range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
