Position Description
Student Success and Outreach (SSO) provides support for students who are first-generation, veterans, commuters, transfers, adult-learners, and graduate students. This is done through the provision of lounge spaces which provide events that encourage a sense of community.
The Program Coordinator will assist the Associate Director in the oversight of the SSO functions overall. Specifically, they will supervise and train student staff, assist in the successful implementation of events, serve as a liaison for departments, and support the overall mission of SSO.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in education or related field
Demonstrated commitment to diversity, multiculturalism, and social justice and a connection to an institution’s mission, vision, goals, and culture
Team oriented individual with outstanding communication and collaboration skills
Detail oriented, highly organized individual who has the ability to multitask and the ability to deal with a variety of situations and people in a balanced way
Strong computer skills including the ability to quickly learn software
Helpful Additional Experience:
Prior experience supervising paraprofessional and student staff
Prior experience working with veteran students and/or other marginalized populations
Familiarity with Jesuit higher education and philosophy
