Basic Function:

Reporting to the Director of Enrollment Systems, the Associate Director of Enrollment Systems manages all technology needs and systems for the Division of Enrollment Management. The Associate Director plays a critical role in the optimization of technology systems to support student recruitment and financial aid. The Associate Director is a thought leader on technical matters and serves as critical advisor to the Director of Enrollment Systems and the Vice President for Enrollment Management.

Essential Job Functions:

Provide leadership and management for all technical activities in the Division of Enrollment Management (EM).

Manage technical projects for the division, including responsibility for the Admission CRM (Technolutions Slate) and the Financial Aid system (College Board PowerFAIDS). Interface effectively with other offices, including the central Information Technology Services (ITS) office, to promote the seamless use of technology through related systems across the campus (e.g., Ellucian Banner).

Motivate the actions of others in the division and across the campus to create efficiencies and improve processes through the use of technology. Serve as a business analyst for the division, translating operational processes into functional technology solutions. Promote a highly relational, customer-service oriented culture.

Set priorities with regard to the maintenance and development of all EM systems. Manage ongoing support for all EM systems, including implementation, training, and the coordination of upgrades.

Plan, test, and modify external interfaces with the third-party vendors, including the College Board, Common Application, Coalition for College, QuestBridge, State of Ohio, U.S. Department of Education, and others.

Prepare data for predictive modeling and analysis. Develop reports to facilitate EM planning and operations.

Work closely with EM staff members across departments to facilitate daily processes, coordinate training, and document procedures.

Work with the Director of Enrollment Systems to establish strategic, data-driven policies and processes that further the goals of the University. Participate in institutional planning and policy development regarding the use of EM systems and technology. Provide data-driven guidance for all aspects of EM programs and initiatives, develop reports, and write executive summaries.

Represent the University in a professional manner. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree with outstanding technical knowledge, skills, and abilities with demonstrated administrator-level experience managing a customer relationship management (CRM) system.

Must have a current, valid driver’s license and must be insurable under Denison’s liability insurance policy.

Our preferred candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated experience using Technolutions Slate, College Board PowerFAIDS, and Ellucian Banner.
  • Demonstrated experience programming in SQL and/or manipulating SQL code written by others.
  • Demonstrated professional experience at an institution of higher education supporting a student enrollment-related function.

Physical Demands:

Must be comfortable in an office setting, operating general office equipment, including lifting boxes up to 20lbs.
