Job Description

The Department of Curriculum & Instruction in the College of Education and Human Development seeks candidates for a term limited, full-time, non-tenure track appointment beginning fall of 2022. The appointment is for a Lecturer of Curriculum & Instruction. Successful candidates will teach undergraduate level courses in general topics of education, such as pedagogy, curriculum, and classroom management, as well as possible content methods courses. The regular teaching load is 5/5. Summer teaching assignments may be available for additional pay but are not guaranteed. Teaching assignments may include day, night, and/or weekend classes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in Curriculum & Instruction or a closely related field

  • K-12 teaching experience with K-12 teacher certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctoral Degree from a regionally accredited institution in Curriculum & Instruction or a closely related field

  • University teaching experience for a minimum of 1 year

  • Experience working with culturally diverse populations

  • Experience with instructional technologies such as learning management systems and e-portfolios
