    Mount Mary University is seeking an individual to join our community and contribute to the realization of our Mission through the role of an Adjunct Instructor of Art Therapy.     Primary Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and deliver instruction; assess student performance
    • Strong working knowledge and understanding of established professional codes of ethics and best practices for art therapy and counseling education
    • Demonstrate commitment to promoting inclusiveness and cultural competence; experience working
    • Incorporate effective teaching practices and strategies
    • Outstanding verbal, writing, and presentation skills; must be able to communicate and interact effectively with Mount Mary students and employees
    • Collaborate in a team environment including the ability to work with diverse groups, facilitate group processes and foster effective decision making
    Skills and Experience:

    • Experience in clinical supervision
    • Experience teaching in an online environment
    • Previous experience teaching a diverse study body is desired

    • Master of Art Therapy required PhD or DAT preferred
    • Current, ATR-BC is required, a Wisconsin counseling license or LPC preferred with ATR-BC

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Teaching experience in graduate-level art therapy.
    • Significant experience in leadership, education, and research or scholarship.
    Physical Demands:

    • May be required to lift up to 20 lbs.
    • Must reach, bend, stoop, lift
    • Must sit, walk or stand
    • Some repetitive motion may be required
    Working Conditions:

    • Varying workflow; sometimes stressful with high workload times of the year
    • Complete work required within a limited space
    • Complete work required within a limited time
