Job Summary/Basic Function:

The School of Business is in need of a full-time faculty member in Computer Science.

  • Position is a 10 month residential, full-time position in Lynchburg, Virginia.
  • Teach courses in the Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, and/or Cyber Security programs.
  • Position includes student advising and support.
  • Duties include: Weekly instruction, administrative requirements, and retention and recruitment events.

Faculty are expected to agree with and live by the University Doctrinal Statement.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • M.S./M.A. In a technology field with:
  • Recent/current industry certifications related to the teaching discipline.
  • Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certification necessary.
  • 18 Graduate hours in the area of programming and related computer science topics
  • At least 5 years in industry field and/or teaching experience desirable

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science (Preferred), Information Systems, Information Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related Computer Science field.
  • Recent/current industry certifications related to the teaching discipline.
  • Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certification necessary.
  • 18 Graduate hours in the area of programming and related computer science topics.
  • At least 5 years in industry field and/or teaching experience desirable

Work Hours:

50-60/ Week
