JOB TITLE: IT Software Analyst II
The University of Tennessee Office of Information Technology Applications group is seeking to hire an IT Software Analyst II to support the Information Management and Analytics team.JOB DESCRIPTION: As an IT Software Analyst II, you will be a key member in supporting the University’s Banner/ODS and IDS (Institutional Data Set) applications. You will work independently and as part of a team on one or more projects, as directed, to achieve the organization’s objectives and to provide exceptional support to our customers at the University. You will be expected to contribute technically in the analysis, design, development, testing, integration, and documentation of software solutions. This position will report to the OIT Manager, Information Management and Analytics.Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS: Required
- Bachelor’s Degree and two (2) years of application development experience
or Associate’s Degree and four (4) years of application development experience
or Seven (7) years of application development experienceRelational Database experience Skills in Data Analysis, Database Design, writing SQL, and query performance tuningAbility to work independently and within a team to achieve results and meet deadlinesAbility to apply effective oral and written skills to communicate with user and technical audiences
- Experience with Oracle or SQL ServerExperience with PL/SQL and/or SQL Developer and/or TOADExperience with formal Source controlExperience with Ellucian Banner/ODSExperience with Evisions Argos report development toolExperience working in a Higher Education environment
