Data Analyst – Safeguards And SecurityPosition:

The Data Analyst will assist Safeguards & Security and Emergency Services (SS&ES) at Consolidated Nuclear Security (CNS) with efforts to develop methods and processes aimed at enhancing financial and program metrics as well as planning activities. Data Analyst will exercise independent judgment to mine and interpret multiple sources of data and perform data analysis and modeling to identify trends, solve analytical problems, optimize performance, and develop compelling visualizations to support the analysis. This position will require frequent interaction with the company’s SS&ES professional and managers in developing plans for projects that enable the deployment of advance analytical tools, this includes developing work instructions and procedures. A portion of the effort will encourage developing innovative approaches and techniques to conduct data control and quality audits; develop key performance indicators and data metrics; and to design and develop tools, policies and procedures focused on improving planning efforts.

Job Function/Responsibilities:

Independently perform complex data analysis utilizing advanced modeling methods.

• Design and develop tools, methodologies, and applications for enhancing financial and program metrics

• Consult with clients to understand needs and develops tools to collect data

• develop and maintain dashboards

• Organize results and conclusions for presentation to multiple audiences, including senior directors and senior program managers.

Develop innovative approaches and techniques to conduct data control and quality audits

• Create data metrics in support of security management.

Design and develop tools, policies and procedures focused on improving planning efforts.

• develop key performance indicators and data metrics

• Independently present findings to internal and external stakeholders.

• Create reports which have impact on specific policies or statutes.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• High level of knowledge of and the ability to utilize standard statistical software.

• Advanced level logical and analytical skills

• Demonstrate data analytics and data visualization skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Highly motivated, self-learner, team player, and technically inquisitive

• Strong work ethic and creative problem-solving abilities

• Ability to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel

• Ability to document, prepare and present data-driven presentations

Preferred knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Knowledge in one or more of the following {Finance; data security; data audits; risk management}

• Experience with large databases, conducting complex analysis using more than one programming language such as SAS and Python

Required level/type of experience and/or years of experience:

• Bachelor's Degree

• The successful candidate should have at least one year of relevant experience (e.g., Data analysis and reporting; solving business problems) or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience in the field of data analytics.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen

Preferred level/type of experience and/or years of experience:

• Master's Degree
