Job Details
To advance the college’s mission, vision, principles, values and strategic initiatives through continuous improvement decisions.
We are looking for an English adjunct faculty to teach classes on Main Campus at a variety of times, with MWF and T/Th mid-morning and early afternoon sections available. Additional times are available.
$1,280 per credit hour of instruction.
UNIVERSAL CORE COMPETENCIES:
PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS:
Position involves sitting and/or standing most of the time in a classroom setting. Occasional (10-33%) repetitive motion, stooping, crouching, pushing, pulling, carrying and lifting up to 20 pounds. Frequent (34-66%) reaching, standing, walking, lifting and grasping.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:- A conferred Master’s Degree by date of appointment with at least 18 credit hours in English.
- Familiarity or experience with teaching college writing at all levels.
- Graduate coursework in Rhetoric, Composition, and the Instruction of Writing.
- Experience teaching college composition at all levels.
- Writing center or teaching experience at a community college.
- Coursework in college pedagogy.
- Demonstrated experience working with English Language Learners.
