Dining Service has great opportunities for driven people who are looking for a fun, unique, and energetic atmosphere. The department is currently accepting applications for three full-time Culinary Workers II. Under guidance from a designated supervisor, the Culinary Workers prepares or assists in the preparation of various food items served in the food court and kiosks located in the Morris University Center. Assigned tasks will vary from food prep (dicing, peeling measuring, and mixing) to simple cooking and grilling. The selected candidate(s) will ensure stations and work areas are cleaned and maintained following Illinois Department of Public Health guidelines. As part of a station team, the Culinary Workers may also assist in the serving of food as needed.

Additionally, the Culinary Workers II may also guide and train student assistants, participate in planning menus, and oversee simple area operations. Other duties in line with the professional responsibilities of the position may be assigned in support of the department’s mission and goals.

The hours for the varying positions are listed below. Candidates will apply to this posting for all openings. All positions begin in mid-August and run though the academic year. Food service positions may include layoff over academic breaks (winter holiday and spring break) and summer term.

Set schedules for each position cannot be changed.
