Printing and Mailing Services is seeking a highly motivated individual to join its team

This position will serve as a Prepress operator working with printing industry graphic design software as well as web services. Applicants will need a strong desire to learn industry-specific skills.



Job Location
Required Education: High School diploma or GED, AND: 

  • 48 months of experience in advanced offset and digital printing technology.
Skills:

  •     Knowledge of offset or digital press environments or wide format printing aspects
  •     Review and troubleshooting of supplied graphic design files for print ability
  •     Setup knowledge of press sheet layout imposition and/or plate making for offset presses
  •     Ability to speak, read and write clear, concise English
  •     Basic math skills
  •     Ability to read and understand complex written materials
  •     Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information
  •     Organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines
  •     Strong initiative to solve problems
  •     Able to work well with interdepartmental teams and initiatives
Certifications:

  • None
Advertised Physical Requirements:

  • Exposure to physically demanding tasks, regular exposure to noise, odors, lifting 50 lbs. or more occasionally, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, engaging in repetitive motions.
Departmental Preferences:

  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Pitstop, Preps and Prinergy Softwares
  • Knowledge of equipment and production techniques ( offset press, digital press, bindery, and wide format)
  • Good communication skills both in person and electronically
  • Ability to think logically when working data
  • Basic programing experience
  • Knowledge of graphic design principles
