The University of Tennessee College of Social Work (CSW) invites applications for the position of IT Administrator. Reporting to the Director of Communications, the administrator will serve as website manager, working collaboratively as part of a small team of communications professionals to design, update, and maintain the college's internal and external websites. In addition, this position will implement digital design, inform content strategy, and oversee data analytics. This position also will provide technology support and maintenance for the College of Social Work (CSW) Knoxville campus.

The Position

The IT Administrator should be thoughtful, team-oriented, and skilled with leading the development, programming, and support of website projects associated with the college’s digital media initiatives. This position is accountable for overseeing the implementation of the university’s web standards and branding to all web applications and web pages. This position will be also be responsible for developing and maintaining web themes for WordPress Gutenberg while ensuring websites are responsive and perform in a user-centered manner. The Administrator will plan, coordinate, and execute digital marketing programmatic elements including Google tag management, tracking pixels, and targeting.

In addition, the Administrator will provide information technology support (hardware, software, and network) support to the Knoxville faculty, staff, and students. They will work with OIT personnel, as needed, to diagnose and repair issues. This position is responsible for organizing and managing equipment inventory of all desktops, laptops, servers, projectors, etc. purchased by CSW.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    Advanced knowledge of WordPress Gutenberg, HTML, CSS, and other web languages, particularly PHP and JavaScript Knowledge of web standards, including web accessibility standardsGoogle Analytics and Google Tag Manager experienceDemonstrated experience using and interpreting Google Analytics or equivalent for reporting on metrics for content strategyKnowledge of/prior application of digital management and digital marketing and content management and SEO best practicesKnowledge of UX/UI best practicesDemonstrated ability to maintain, patch, and upgrade CMS environments (WordPress preferred)Familiarity with working within brand guidelines and requirementsFamiliarity with working within and helping to develop digital content strategy for multiple audiencesAbility to work well in a collaborative team environmentAbility to interact with and collaborate with all staff in a respectful and sensitive mannerAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and in writingAbility to problem solve and analyze complex problemsAbility to learn new skills and technologies as neededAbility to handle rolling project delivery deadlines on time in an often-fast-paced environmentAbility to multitask and prioritize projects in order to meet deadlines on time and within budget
In addition to the required education, experience and knowledge, skills & abilities listed above, our preferences are:

    Programming skills in languages such as PHP, MySQL, JavaScript (server-side)Familiarity with editing copy for the digital environmentFamiliarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Specifically: Photoshop and Illustrator)Familiarity with Adobe Premiere or equivalent video editing softwareDesign background, ability to create graphics for use in digital environmentExperience working within an academic environment (1+ years preferred)Familiarity with editing video content with footage, graphics, and music


Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:

Education

    Associate degree is required, Bachelor preferred in related field.
Experience

    Minimum of three years of web development experience is required.
