The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:Completes administrative tasks to support the clinic manager, providers, and staff.Communicates with insurance brokers, third-party administrators, and insurance carriers as questions and issues arise.Acts as the referral coordinator for the clinic, processing incoming and outgoing referrals.Communicates with patients and provides responsive customer service.Helps to maintain and verify patient demographic information in the medical record.Assists with scheduling patients when appropriate.Follows billing and collections procedures for the clinic.Provides medical records and other pertinent information to our internal and external customers as authorized and needed. Follows release of information guidelines according to policy and HIPAA guidelines. Maintains control of medical records through established policies.Assists the clinic manager, providers, and staff in creating processes and procedures to improve patient care and enhance operational effectiveness.Assists clinic manager, providers, and staff to troubleshoot EMR issues.Assists the clinic patient services representative when needed to complete clinic front desk operations.Other duties as assigned.Job Competencies:
