Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a nine-month Limited Term Instructor or Limited Term Assistant Professor of Choral Music Education faculty position in the Dr. Bobbie Bailey School of Music, beginning August 2022.
Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with experience. Responsibilities
Teach appropriate courses in the music education sequence Supervise student teachers Conduct university ensembles as needed Serve as part of a collaborative music education team with specialists in band, orchestra, general music, and research Contribute to School, College, and University shared governance Work with a diverse community Additional responsibilities, as assigned by the Dr. Bobbie Bailey School of Music Director Required Qualifications
Earned master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in the areas of choral music education or choral conducting, or a related field, is required as a Limited Term Instructor. Earned terminal degree (Ph.D. or D.M.A.), or the foreign equivalent, in the areas of choral music education or choral conducting, or a related field, is required as a Limited Term Assistant Professor. A minimum of 2 years of K-12 public school teaching (choral) at the middle and/or high school levels. Required Documents to Attach
