Job Description:

A Post-doctoral Associate position is available in statistics to work on a project on methods of causal inference led by Dr. Joseph Antonelli in the Department of Statistics. The position will begin on August 16, 2022.

The successful candidate is expected to conduct research on causal inference. The position will be primarily supervised by Dr. Joseph Antonelli, with a focus on methods for causal inference, though other statistical areas, such as Bayesian nonparametrics and high-dimensional modeling are also of interest. Methods development will be mostly motivated by problems in environmental health, in particular those relating to the health impacts of air pollution and associated regulatory actions. Collaboration with other faculty in the Department of Statistics will be encouraged.

This position will be initially awarded for one year, and, contingent upon strong performance and conduct and availability of funds, may be renewed for up to one year.

Expected Salary:The salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, and includes a full benefits package.

Minimum Requirements:

Ph.D. in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in either causal inference or environmental statistics is encouraged, though not required.
