Job Description The University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) School of Dentistry is seeking to fill the position of Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor or Assistant/Associate Professor in the Periodontics Department. The position is a ranked non-tenure track or tenure track/tenure eligible position.

This department is responsible for pre-doctoral and dental specialty students, patient care and service in periodontics. Specific responsibilities of this position include pre-doctoral classroom and clinical instruction primarily and some post-doctoral classroom and clinical instruction in periodontics. There is an opportunity for additional income in clinical practice for qualified candidates.

Minimum Qualifications The position requires a DDS/DMD degree. For individuals with foreign degrees: a foreign 4-year or higher dental degree, satisfactory completion of a minimum 30-month CoDA accredited postgraduate training program in Periodontics. All candidates are required to be eligible and obtain the appropriate Missouri Dental License prior to starting their employment. For more information about licensing, see https://pr.mo.gov/.

Full Time/Part Time

This 12-month ranked academic position is full-time (100% FTE), fully benefit-eligible, non-tenure track or tenure track/tenure eligible position to start with the Fall 2022 semester.

The ranked Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor provides opportunity for ranked NTT future promotion.

As tenure track/tenure eligible there will be promotion and tenure expectations based upon teaching, research and service.

Salary Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with credentials, education, and experience.
