Description:
Multiple postdoctoral positions are available at the Brain Institute of Tulane University to work on the newly funded NIH Project Program Grant (P01) “Estrogens, Cardiometabolic Health, and Female Cognitive Aging”. The grant supports three Cores and four synergistic research Projects across the Tulane Schools of Science & Engineering and Medicine. The broad goal of the research is to determine the impact of cardiometabolic status on the ability of exogenously administered estrogens to benefit the brain and cognition in an aging female rodent model. The research is at the intersection of neuroscience, cardiovascular and metabolic function, and women’s health. Positions are available in the labs of Project and Core Leads Drs. Jill Daniel, Sarah Lindsey, Ricardo Mostany, Laura Schrader, and Andrea Zsombok. Qualifications:
Candidates should have a recent PhD with a focus in neuroscience or cardiometabolic function and have a track-record of first-author publications. Experience working with rodent models is required. Salary will be commensurate with experience and based on NIH scale.
