Under the general supervision of the Dean of University Transfer, Liberal Arts and Science, and in collaboration with other faculty, the English Instructor will teach in the University Transfer Liberal Arts associate degrees and provide general education for occupational associate degrees and technical diploma programs. This position provides instruction in a variety of English classes, including but not limited to Written Communication and English Composition I & II.

A typical teaching assignment for a 60% appointment would be 7 – three credit courses over three academic terms (fall, spring, and summer). Responsibilities will be both online and at the Rhinelander Campus and designated outreach locations. Faculty maintain availability to students, develop and maintain curriculum and programs, and actively participate in the diverse communities served by the College.

Qualified candidates possess a Master's Degree or higher in English OR Master's Degree in a closely related field with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in English and successful experience in fully online course delivery or substantive education/professional development in distance education pedagogy.

The ideal candidate also has successful teaching experience in a post-secondary setting and successful experience with alternative delivery methods including video conferencing, hybrid, and competency-based.
