This position provides assistance to a research staff by collecting data, keeping records, conducting literature searches, technical research, analyzing data, and preparing reports with minimal supervision.Duties:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in a Biological Science, Chemistry, or Physical Science or related fieldExperience: 12 months research laboratory experienceEquivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months equivalent experience in lieu of the Bachelor's Degree for a total of 60 months research experience or an Associate's Degree and 24 months research experience for a total of 36 months experience.Preferences: Experience working with mice, sterile tissue culture, protein extraction and western blots. Experience working with Microsoft Office software, GraphPad Prism and CompuSyn. Skills:

- Conducts research and laboratory analysis for research staff, to include but not limited to measure and weigh compounds and solutions, isolate, identify and prepare specimens, and collect samples and other research informationParticipates in clinical research projects collecting data from patients and/or participants in a studyCollects various forms of data pertaining to the research project or projects, which could include database information and/or hard filesConducts data analyses, interprets data, draws conclusions, and discusses with principal investigatorKeeps detailed logs of all research related projects or activitiesConducts literature searchesPrepares various reports containing descriptive, analytical, and evaluative content that may be submitted for publicationConstructs tests or assists in the construction of testsCollaborates with other researchers or colleaguesParticipates in meetings and presents research findings to fellow researchers and Principal InvestigatorPerforms various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position
