Primary Position Function/Summary:
Responsible for successfully recruiting and admitting the proper mix and number of qualified learners into residential and online Gies Graduate Programs which includes both degree and non-degree content and credentials. In addition, responsible for developing and implementing processes and tools to effectively manage engagement with leads and prospects and recruit learners.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Recruiting

  • Assist the Director of Recruitment and Admissions in executing a comprehensive recruitment and admissions process for learners interested in degree and non-degree programs, content and credentials.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of recruitment strategies with a focus on growing the pipeline of qualified learners seeking high-quality educational opportunities.
  • Recruit and provide counseling and guidance to prospective learners.
  • Develop partnerships with external organizations and agencies that will enhance the learner pipeline. This would include but is not limited to leveraging opportunities on campus by collaborating with University/College leadership and academic divisions.
  • Meet enrollment goals while maintaining program standards.
  • Plan and conduct recruiting events both in-person and virtually promoting Gies Graduate Programs. Serve as a brand ambassador for all Gies Graduate Programs, in collaboration with program-specific representatives.
  • Build, train and supervise academic hourly staff and student workers supporting both recruitment and admissions.
  • Collaborate with internal staff and external partners including data management teams, Gies Marketing & Communications (MarCom), other college units and any eternal partners to create and implement recruitment plans.
  • Assist in the development and management of Gies Graduate programs social media accounts
  • Help maintain databases and other tools for meeting program and team goals.
  • Some night and weekend obligations as well as domestic and possibly international travel for recruiting events, relationship building, etc.

Admissions

  • Support the admission process and help manage reporting to provide up-to-date admissions and enrollment data for program and department leadership.
  • Monitor yield issues and create strategies and tactics to maximize yield.
  • Perform information and assessment interviews of potential candidates and other tasks necessary to ensure an efficient and effective admission process for candidates.
  • Support nurturing of applicants through enrollment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Required: Bachelor's degree.
Preferred: MBA or other relevant master's degree.

Experience:

Required: At least five years of professional experience with at least two years of experience in recruitment, human resources, admissions, or relationship sales. Experience working with a diverse population.
Preferred: Higher educational experience, graduate recruitment experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Excellent organizational and communication skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, and proven success in managing across multiple stakeholders. Must demonstrate a service-oriented attitude for working with faculty and students. Working knowledge of computer-related databases and office-related software.

SALARY AND APPOINTMENT INFORMATION

This is a full-time (100%), benefits-eligible academic professional position appointed on a 12-month basis. The position is available as soon as possible after the closing date. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
