Instructional Designer I
Job Description:The Instructional Designer I serves in a professional-level role in Academic Technology, a unit of UF Information Technology (UFIT) at the University of Florida. This role is responsible for working with instructors to design and develop courses, and to implement emerging technologies into courses.
Some key responsibilities and characteristics of this position are:
- Conduct needs assessments, design and develop appropriate technology-based instructional support to meet client and/or program needs
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with clients
- Manage instructional design projects at all stages
- Develop and design learning aids including, but not limited to, instructional guides to assist in the transfer of knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Evaluate alignment of course goals, learning objectives, and assessments
- Provide consultations on a variety of teaching and learning technologies
- May facilitate workshops to faculty, staff, and/or students

Minimum Requirements:Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.

This role will be based in one of our Gainesville offices and may include a hybrid schedule of three days in the office (Wednesday required), and two days remote.
