Job Description:


The College seeks a collaborative, innovative enrollment management professional to assume the position of Dean of Enrollment Management and LifeMap. This individual must be a results-driven, visionary, strategist and change agent with a track record of success leading teams and improving student enrollment. The Dean of Enrollment Management is responsible for providing leadership and vision to the Division, the offices of Admissions, Academic Records, Assessment, and LifeMap functions: Academic/Career Advising and Transfer Services, and directly manages the Associate Dean of Admissions & Academic Records, and the Associate Dean of Advising & LifeMap.


The Dean will work in partnership with key internal and external stakeholders to develop, implement and assess a strategic enrollment plan that is grounded in equity-based practices and enhances BHCC's ability to attract, enroll, and retain students. The Dean reports to the Provost and serves as part of the College's Academic and Student Affairs leadership team.


Responsibilities:


  • Provides vision, leadership, and direction for the implementation and effectiveness of equity-based services that are designed to support successful navigation of the enrollment process;
  • Provides direction, leadership, and professional development to the Associate Deans and the Enrollment Management division, the offices of Admissions, Academic Records, Assessment, and LifeMap functions: Academic/Career Advising and Transfer Services;
  • Collaborates with other departments/divisions to carry out the philosophy of a student-centered institution within an integrated enrollment services environment;
  • Develops, implements and assesses a strategic enrollment management plan and goals in partnership with academic deans, division leaders and administration;
  • Utilizes enrollment and other relevant data for decision-making and planning;
  • Develops metrics and assessment methods to evaluate operations that drive continuous process improvement to optimize services to students and increase enrollment;
  • Develops and monitors annual budget;
  • Collaborates with the Office of Integrated Marketing & Communications to develop appropriate recruiting campaigns and admissions/recruitment materials;
  • Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with external community agencies, organizations, service area school districts to promote outreach and facilitate student enrollment; and;
  • Assesses, develops and recommends policies to appropriate deans, committees, or other entities related to enrollment management functions.


Requirements:


  • Master's degree required;
  • Minimum of 8 years of increasingly responsible administrative enrollment management experience in public higher education preferably at community college
  • Ability to think critically, strategically, and creatively about the enrollment management process;
  • Experience in the development and implementation of enrollment goals; proven success with enrollment and retention strategies;
  • Demonstrates a leadership commitment to a student-centered environment;
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills;
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse population of employees, faculty, students and the community;
  • Experience with Student Information and CRM Systems, knowledge of Colleague and TargetX preferred;
  • Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff and student population;
  • Demonstrated success in leading teams to reach established goals;
  • Experience with data reporting and analysis for enrollment management decision-making;
  • Collective bargaining experience.

Additional Information:


Salary Range: $130,000.00 - $140,000.00
