The Department of Anthropology and Sociology at Western Carolina University invites applications for a 9-month fixed term Instructor of Sociology to begin August 1, 2022. Application review will begin immediately. The position will remain open until filled.

The successful candidate will have at minimum a Master’s degree in Sociology or a Doctoral degree in Sociology with a related interest in medicine and health (preferred). They will contribute to the university’s Integrated Health Sciences degree program, Sociology degree program, and Liberal Studies Program by teaching two sections Medical Sociology each spring and Fall and Semester and Introduction to Sociology. The instructor position carries a 4-4 course load with some service expectations. Preference will be given to candidates with related teaching experience.
