We deliver human-centric information and support services that power Stanford's unparalleled learning, research, and healthcare mission.

The central purpose of this role is to facilitate strategic initiatives and staff Stanford's IT governance councils, in consultation with senior IT leadership. Reporting within the Office of the CIO (OCIO) in University IT (UIT), this role guides change in a highly decentralized environment by planning, developing, and delivering governance-related programs and projects.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Run logistics, including scheduling meetings and planning meeting agendas, to improve overall effectiveness of technology councils. Apply best practices and consistent processes to support technology councils. Contribute to standing up new governance councils.
  • Synthesize complicated, occasionally unclear information, and follow up with partners, as needed. Document meeting minutes and track action items to accelerate momentum on all council initiatives. Write memos, proposals, and other necessary documentation to connect initiatives to councils.
  • Provide additional support, as needed.

To be successful in this position, you will bring:
  • Bachelor's degree and five years relevant experience or a combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong listening, negotiation, strategic facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to craft and document sophisticated business systems and cases.
