23-May-2022 Close All Job SummaryThe Office of Government and Community Engagement encourages applications for an Assistant! This role will support the organizational mission while working with both the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Public Policy and Advocacy and the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Local Government and Community Engagement. The Assistant will address a specific set of projects, spanning office management, local, state, and federal policy and community engagement.

  • Attend City Council meetings and prepare meeting summaries
  • Support community engagement events
  • Conduct research
  • Provide additional support and additional duties as assigned
What You Should KnowThis is a temporary, full-time position anticipated to last 3 months.This position is in a hybrid work situation.
All University of Colorado Boulder employees are required to comply with the campus COVID-19 vaccine requirement.   • Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. Related experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
  • Experience with policy at the local, state, and federal levels.
  • Experience working within Boulder Community Politics.
What You Will Need
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
What We Would Like You To Have
  • Experience supporting with committee or counsel preparation.
  • Drafting communication in regard to policy.
  • Experience with CU policy or similar Higher Education policy experience.
