Position Summary::

The Scheduling and Facility Coordinator responsibilities includes but not limited to creating and scheduling curriculum sections for the college that relate to Academic Programs and maintain organizational filing systems for confidential records, schedules and reports to enhance data/information sharing and retrieval.

Staff Required Education/Experience::

Associate degree (A.S., A.A.) or two-year technical certificate with relevant office experience; or four (4) years of administrative support experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

Desired Education/Experience/Skills::

- Experience in an educational or community college setting, experience with Colleague and Informer applications.

- Bachelors degree

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities::

Intermediate Microsoft Office suite application skills, typing 50+ WPM, adding machine.

Duty and Responsibility::

1. Prepares curriculum scheduling timeline and curriculum scheduling patterns based on the approved Academic Calendar.

2. Works closely with Academic Vice President, Associate Academic Vice President, Compliance and Curriculum Coordinator, curriculum program chairs, deans, dean’s assistants, and early college director/liaisons to obtain the required information to prepare the curriculum schedule.

3. Enters into Colleague required information to prepare the curriculum schedule, verifying accuracy and completeness, by the published registration start date. Ensures all specialized sections have correct restrictions and notations. This includes, but is not limited to, major restrictions, Early College and CCP notations and restrictions, registration restrictions, fees and costs, student information, etc. Certifies all curriculum students are billed accordingly for class sections that include IA costs and Lab fees. Required to perform duties regularly, given condensed time constraints, limited resources, and last-minute notification.

4. Prepares and/or enters a variety of information into applicable documents, spreadsheets, invoices, databases, logs, forms, and/or other related areas, utilizing established guidelines and procedures. Performs basic quantitative and qualitative reviews of data. This includes, but is not limited to, curriculum scheduling patterns, curriculum schedule, room utilization, room information (capacity, equipment, etc.), section registration dates, delivery methods, offering information, enrollment management, etc.

5. May prioritize and assign work to student or part-time workers; monitor the performance of student or part-time workers; and train student or part-time workers on work methods and procedures. Also serves as back-up to immediate supervisor.

7. Compiles and distributes room usage signs for onsite campus-wide curriculum classes.

The college's New and Expanding Industry Training office has earned national recognition for cooperative training efforts with area industries. Focused Industrial Training designs innovative educational programs for the service region's manufacturing sector.

An important function of the college is to provide educational programs on the pre-college level. Literacy Services offer adults the opportunity for meaningful social and occupational growth through Adult Basic Education (ABE), Human Resources Development (HRD), and the High School Equivalency Program (GED).
