Job Details
The Instructor of Surgical Technology (ST) reports to the Director of ST and is responsible for teaching ST courses as appropriate to the two-year college level including classroom and laboratory instruction. This role supports the College’s mission of providing and ensuring quality educational programs for ASUN’s various constituencies.
This position is a 12-month faculty position and will be housed on either the Newport or Marked Tree campus. Travel to other ASUN campuses and clinic facilities will be required.
Minimum Qualifications
Be a graduate of an education program in surgical technology accredited by a nationally recognized programmatic accreditation agency; 2) Possess a credential in the field of surgical technology through a national certification program that is accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCCA); and 3) have a minimum total of two years of experience, either in the operating room scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both, within the past five years.
Salary & Benefits
The annual salary for this position is $44,000.

2012 - ASUN student receives first and only Student Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) granted to a community college student.
2012 - $1 million gift received from Fowler Family in support of Hospitality Services program.
2013 - Dr. Sandra Massey named ASUN's second Chancellor.
2014 - ASUN becomes fifth largest community college in Arkansas in headcount enrollment.
2015 - 2500 STRONG - In Fall 2015 beat it's all-time enrollment record with 2,533 students.
