NWRDC provides support for a wide range of state and local government, as well as K-20 organizations across the State of Florida. These organizations are dependent on NWRDC in order to accomplish their missions. This requires NWRDC to maintain services 24x7, even during times of crisis or emergency. As such, all NWRDC staff are considered essential staff for operations of the State of Florida.

Responsibilities
  • Assists with $24M budget preparation, cost-recovery rate calculation, financial reconciliation, and analysis activities for the Northwest Regional Data Center (NWRDC).
  • Responsible for researching, compiling, and analyzing financial data associated with support of historical trends and customer reconciliation data to assist with rate development and budget preparation.
  • Coordinates with NWRDC technical managers to compile multifaceted data necessary for annual service reconciliation, true-up process, and State budget allocations for all State of Florida customers.
  • Works with NWRDC Financial Operations Manager to develop and document policies and procedures related to annual true-up service rate reconciliation process, annual rate development, annual budget development, and financial statement preparation.
  • Reviews AP reports and researches payments to vendors, etc. as necessary.
  • Assists NWRDC Senior Management and other managers with reviewing and preparing purchasing requests and serving as liaison between NWRDC and FSU to ensure proper completion and motoring of purchasing requests.
  • Participates in approved professional development opportunities per NWRDC policy.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and two years experience; or a high school diploma/equivalent and experience equal to six years. (Note: post-high school education can substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.)
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Experience performing accurately in a detail oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of data analysis techniques and methodology.
  • Knowledge of accounting systems and practices.
  • Experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook or equivalent software.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated experience compiling, reviewing, and reconciling data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Must possess or complete Security Awareness Training Certificate within 60-days of hire date (offered through NWRDC).

This position is Authorized for a Cellular Communication Services Allowance.

Soft Money Funded Position

This is a soft money funded position, with renewal based on available funds and the needs of the University. This is not a time limited position.

Schedule

If not otherwise specified, schedule is M-F, 8-5.

Criminal Background Check

This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check, to include fingerprinting. The background check will be conducted as authorized and in accordance with University Policy 4-OP-C-7-B11.

As required by US Justice Department, CJIS level Background Check shall be conducted for positions with access to Criminal Justice Information.
