UND Center for Family Medicine/Custer Family Planning is currently recruiting for a front desk receptionist. The Family Planning receptionist is responsible for scheduling patient appointments, checking patients into the clinic, and data entry of charges and payments. The position is partially grant funded.

Duties & Responsibilities- Greet and register patients in a timely, professional and confident manner.
- Determines, verifies, and updates appropriate patient demographics.
- Answer phone in a timely and professional manner.
- Use knowledge of database system to schedule appointments appropriately.
- Verify insurance coverage for patients through practice management system.
- Prepare, enter and validate resident, community faculty and faculty physician clinic schedules.
- Request and collect payments due from patients, and accurately enter into system.
- Data entry of clinical codes into billing software, and assisting of preparing insurance claims for billing
- Balance cash drawer against software report and prepare funds for deposit process.
- Ability to demonstrate telephone proficiency/etiquette. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in regard to all information acquired in course of performing the job.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work closely with faculty and resident physicians.
- Ability to work with patients and the public in a professional, confidential, and calm fashion.
- Ability to respond and perform effectively in emergency and stressful situations.
- Ability to multi-task while still maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year experience as a receptionist
- Experience using Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Successful completion of criminal history records check.

Preferred Qualifications- Experience as a receptionist in a medical setting
- Experience with patient registration procedures
- Epic software system experience
$31,500 / year, Non-Exempt, Full Time, Benefited
Work Schedule/Start DateMonday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
