Mount Aloysius College invites applications for a regular full-time, 9-month Faculty appointment to join its Political Science Department beginning fall 2022. We seek an effective teacher who engages students and has a demonstrated record of excellence in teaching. The successful candidate will have the knowledge and ability to teach a broad range of introductory and upper level undergraduate courses in the field of Political Science/International Relations/Government and across the curriculum. Teaching responsibilities will include comparative politics, political geography, international relations, and/or government. The faculty member is also responsible for curriculum review and development, accreditation preparation, and program assessment. In addition, Mount Aloysius faculty advise students academically, actively participate in committee work, scholarly activities, college service, etc.

Qualifications:

Ph.D. from an accredited university in Political Science, International or Foreign Relations, or related field preferred. ABD candidates will be considered. The successful incumbent will teach in traditional, hybrid, and online delivery modes. This position is not remote; requires faculty to teach and interact with students in person. Faculty rank contingent upon qualifications.
