Job Description:

The Program Coordinator will partner with the Title IX Director & Student Equal Opportunity Officer, student leaders, and outside agencies in the development and implementation of outreach efforts and programming for the Student Equity Office.

The Program Coordinator will be responsible for partnering with the Title IX director in development and implementation of training for students, employees, student leaders, cohort academic programs and similar groups both in classroom or other online modalities, about gender and sexual discrimination, sexual violence, relationship violence, sexual misconduct, and sexual harassment, as well as other forms of harassment, bias and misconduct.

The Program Coordinator will be responsible for developing communication and marketing to educate the campus community about resources, policies, procedures, and legal requirements, as well as assisting in the maintenance of the College's website resources and reporting as they relate to sexual misconduct and bias incidents.

The Program Coordinator will partner with the Title IX Director in issuing accommodations, interim measures, and support services, as appropriate for the situation and in compliance with Federal and State laws. They will assist in developing and implementing internal processes, protocols to measure effectiveness and efficiency within the Student Equity Office.

Development and Implementation of Educational Programming, Training, and Marketing:

  • Develop and collaborate with other campus departments on sexual misconduct training

  • Develop, and collaborate with college departments on the marketing of Student Equity Office resources, reporting options, and community resources.

  • Development and partner with other college departments on educational programming in compliance with Title IX laws, VAWA, and Clery.

  • Develop and partner with the Title IX Director, human resources, and the Center for Professional Development on mandated employee yearly Title IX training.

Pregnant Student Case Management:

  • Issue pregnancy accommodations, as assigned by the Title IX director.

  • Develop marketing resources for pregnant students and the college community.

  • Maintain documentation and case files.

Partner with the Title IX Director in Case Management:

  • Schedule intake with complainants and document offered support measures and resources.

  • Partner with the Title IX Director in the scheduling of investigations and hearings.

Other Duties as Assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Higher Education, Business Administration, Sociology, or other related field plus one (1) year related experience

  • OR five (5) years of related work experience.

  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.

  • Cultural competence and sensitivity to the concerns and needs of diverse student, faculty, and staff populations.

  • Effective project development, organization and analytical skills.

  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills with an emphasis on education and training for a variety of constituencies.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to build trust and work collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, administrators and community partners.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of legislation and regulatory compliance related to discrimination, discriminatory harassment, and sexual and gender-based misconduct, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (EEO) and Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, the Clery Act, the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2013, Campus SaVE Act and ADA/504 (Americans with Disabilities Act).

  • Basic knowledge of best practices as they relate to institutions of higher education compliance with Title IX and VAWA.

Minimum Payment Amount:

$44,451.00

Employees in these positions may be asked to participate in temporary assignments lasting less than 6 months (such as curriculum development, short term projects, meetings and substitute duties) which could amount to additional temporary pay.
