Job Summary

Performs a variety of customer service and food preparation and service functions. Prep, set up, service and clean up for all catering events and take out orders.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assists in preparation of catering events and take out orders.

  • Assists in operations of the private dining rooms, including room setup and breakdown.

  • Interacts with full-time kitchen staff, managers and student employees; serves faculty, staff and administration employees.

  • Practice food safety at all times.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

All employees who work at Food Services will receive a free meal for every shift worked.

Frequent standing and walking and regularly lifting, loading and moving up to 10 pounds with occasionally moving up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Additional Job Description

ATTIRE:

1) Honor Code compliance required.

2) No uniform is provided. Must provide your own. Attire should be of dressy, business-type material. NO JEANS, NO LEGGINGS, NO ATHLETIC WEAR, NO ATHLETIC SHOES.

For serving at catering events: dress attire should be black collared tops and black bottoms (skirts/dresses allowed for females).

For non-catering work: dress attire is long pants.

5) Comfortable, clean, presentable closed-toe shoes for all catering work.

6) Personal Grooming: no excessive bracelets, rings, & necklaces; only single earrings in both ears.

MALES: clean shaven and hair length trimmed above collar and ears.

FEMALES: hair groomed and pulled up and away from face at all times.
