CU Boulder's PSAAP Multidisciplinary Simulation Center (MSC) for Micromorphic Multiphysics Porous and Particulate Materials Simulations Within Exascale Computing Workflows seeks to advance the state of multiscale predictive science for porous composite inelastic materials through grain-resolving direct numerical simulation, calibration and validation through unique experiments with advanced imaging, and numerical upscaling to create fast-running analysis and design tools.
What Your Key Responsibilities Will BeWork on an interdisciplinary team to apply the following to real-world problems:
- Collaborative software development and devops (Git, continuous integration, etc.);
- Finite element, discrete element, and/or material-point discretizations;
- Computational mechanics and inelasticity;
- Scalable data-intensive computing with in-situ data analytics; and
- Any simulation-related task required to integrate research across the Center.
The position can start immediately and is remote-friendly, especially during the pandemic.
Since the project is funded by DOE NNSA, we cannot consider sensitive country foreign nationals (e.g., China, India, Iran, and Russia).

What We Can OfferThe salary range associated with this position is $70,000-$90,000 per year.
